I have been looking through some old videos and came across one showing the arrival of the Royal Family to the return banquet held by King Faisal of Saudi Arabia during his State Visit to the UK in 1967. When watching the arrival of the Duchess of Kent I could not immediately recognize the tiara. Is it the usual diamond bandau she is wearing here (she wore it to the Guildhall banquet for this visit)? Somehow there is something about the center that makes me thing that this might be a different tiara. The center looks a bit higher than the even bandau. Of course, the quality of this preview is not the best, so it could simply be a trick of the eye. I hope that maybe somebody else might have a sharper eye:
