I have to agree - I had mine for Christmas too, and I adore this book!

: I treated myself to this book as a Christmas
: present, and finally have gone through it
    : (twice, actually).
    :
: I own a few of Vincent Meylan's books, and
: have to say this is by far my favorite.
: From a publishing point of view, it is a
: stunning book. The images are strikingly
: beautiful, and the layout and composition of
: the book are superb. However, it is the
: content that stands out. This is a
: carefully researched book, filled with
: hitherto unknown information (to me at
: least). Ownership of jewels are traced
: through the ages and the generation, with
    : sometimes surprising outcomes.
    :
: Although not exclusively about royal jewels,
: the majority of the pieces explored are of
: royal provenance. Anyone with an interest
: in jewels will find this book fascinating.
    :
: Congratulations, Vincent, on what I think is
    : your best book yet.
