Queen Camilla's stomacher this evening

The Queen wore a spectacular stomacher for this evening's Reception for the Diplomatic Corps.

I feel like I've seen this before, but no images are coming to mind. Can anyone fare better than me?

It gives me clear associations to the centre motif of the "famous" diamond necklace - from the scandal involving Queen Marie-Antoinette

It just does not fit the dress either I think.
Combined with the sash it just looks awkward and does not make the stomacher shine.

I don't think there is a missing tassel... just one short and one longer tassel.

It's actually a beautiful piece but probably not placed that well for the event. Im looking forward to seeing it on a different, more flowing, fabric and placed either on the should or as a true stomacher.

The lowest hanging tassel - is hanging from the centre of a "diamond rope"... it is not the "left" tassel...

You see the right tassel - and then the middle tassel hanging from the middle of the diamond rope (as I described above) - so clearly there must be a left tassel hiding under the Garter sash.

Otherwise it would look really strange, if you only had a middle tassel and a right tassel - but no left tassel

I think the lower tassel actually is the left side tassel - that makes the stomacher symetrical.

I do not have a photobucket account so cannot upload a photo. But what you call the left tassel is hanging in the middle of the hanging garland - like the lower central stone of this stomacher. And then there is the right tassel. So there also has to be a left tassel - else it would be a very strange looking stomacher.

On Queen Camilla's stomacher you can clearly see that there are 2 hanging robes in the side where the right tassel is fastened to the stomacher. One from where the right tassel is attached t o the stomacher - the second 'robe' is the garland from where the central tassel hangs.

I've noticed that Camilla doesn't seem to wear as much of her grandmother's jewelry any more (Alice Keppel). While this stomacher *looks* familiar, I wonder if it was simply a recent purchase?
