Princess Afzan wore Queen Azizah’s Aquamarine Tiara , as well as her Johor-inspired Diamond Necklace for her ‘Istiadat Bersanding' Ceremony at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan .

Queen Azizah wore her Modern Diamond Fringe Necklace , a gift from the mother of the Emir of Abu Dhabi.

Tengku Puteri (Princess) Afzan of Pahang wore a  Diamond Tiara belonging to Queen Azizah , as well as several Emerald and Diamond Necklaces and a couple of Diamond Brooches as she married Fateh Idzham bin Fateh Iskandar in a  Akad Nikah  Ceremony  at the Istana Abdulaziz in Kuantan .

Princess Afzan wore a new Diamond Tiara as well as a  Sapphire and Diamond Necklace and another Diamond Necklace belonging to Queen Azizah  for the  Istiadat Berinai Ceremony . Queen Azizah told me that she had the Tiara was created from an antique necklace, while the diamond necklace comes from her mother, and the sapphire and diamond necklace is from her mother-in-law.

I know there has been a discussion about this before.
But the jewels seems very bright or cleaned as if treated chemically.
I think they somehow loose their sparkle. But I guess it is a matter of taste.

I also tend to agree with the lighting being at least part of the issue. And in any case, it is really difficult to portray the real sparkle of a jewel in a photograph. I am sure that in real life it must have looked very different. In some of the video footage from the wedding ceremonies it is also possible to see that the tiaras and necklaces give off some real glitter.

But I also have to agree that the pieces look very clean compared to many stained silver pieces worn by some of the European Royals. Whether that is because the Asian jewels are more recent pieces or whether they have been cleaned more profoundly I cannot say.

In any case the bride looked magnificent all three days of the wedding celebrations.

Well across Asia they seem to love a bright lighted room. Many of the jewels owned by Malaysian or Brunei Royals are relatively modern. One has to have a taste for them. The designs are catered to the preferences of the buyers and sparkle, large coloured stones and in general opulence is very important to show off wealth. Anyway, many jewels sold in Asia are white gold rhodium plated. That in combination with very white / colourless diamonds which may have been enhanced, create a very bright but also cold lustre compared to old mine diamonds set in gold and silver or platinum, which is mostly seen in European royal jewels.
