'Night of the Living Dead,' played downtown for 2 weeks and I'd seen the ads and heard about it from friends who'd seen it, and couldn't wait till it came to my neighborhood, second run theater. Well, there was such an outcry from the PTA and other civic groups due to the gore, it never played there. Caught it several years later after things died down.
