I look forward to watching Blood Alley again, Virg, so that's the recommendation I can give.
Plus, there's always Lauren Bacall.
Just finished The Train Robbers with Ben Johnson and Ann-Margret and a plot twist. One of my movie books barely gives it a star and a half calling it dull dull dull. I think it's better than that, maybe a little slow in places. But, it's The Duke. And the opening looks fantastic on wide-screen.
Also, have you seen The Ballad of Cable Hogue(1970) with Jason Robards? Just an OUTSTANDING cast from beginning to end. I was directed to it as David Warner just recently died. He plays a disturbed preacher. You may remember Warner as Bob Crachit opposite the George C Scott version. Also, L Q Jones is in it. He just died a few weeks ago.
It's a wonderful film. Robards is great as a prospector looking for...water.
Sweet, funny....words not often used in a Sam Peckinpah shoot-em-up!
And Stella Stevens is not just a beauty. She shows some...chops as an actress.
See this one, Virg!
