It is a drama/film noir. It was ok overall, nothing earth shattering and nothing I would probably re-visit anytime soon. A lot of stories told in flashback and not too much Christmas atmosphere, although the story does take place on Christmas Eve. I had also always been curious about Deanna Durbin. She seemed to have potential but didn't seem to provide a lot of range in or acting. I'd probably rate this at middle of the road.
Not sure what else I will watch. I'd like to get back to the Honeymooner's Christmas episodes and maybe the Reginald Owen version of The Christmas Carol. I still have never seen that one.
