Hey, Virg. I recall seeing 'Two on a Guillotine' when I was seven when my mother and her friend piled all the kids in our Rambler station wagon and went to the drive-in. I don't recall anything about it but I'll never forget the second feature- 'The Gorgon.' It starred horror legends Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing and was about the mythical beast Medusa who was beheaded by the Greek hero Perseus, who then used her head (a Gorgon), which retained its ability to turn onlookers to stone, as a weapon.

The next morning at breakfast, my mother told me that I looked pale, then reached over the table and touched my face and said it felt hard. She then shouted out, "Joey! You're turning to stone! Didn't you hear them announce for everyone to turn away when they showed the Gorgon's head on the screen!" I started crying and running around the house in a panic. That was my mom.
