I can sympathise with your lament about those recordings not being reissued.
However, might I suggest that for very little outlay you can transfer them to your PC as wav. files and then with the use of suitable software rectify the matter of those 'annoyances'. If they are artifacts such as the pop/click noises which plagued vinyl, rest assured they are fairly easy to remove with decent software.
Once the wav. file has been improved to your satisfaction, burn it to CD, then you can retire to your armchair and nudge the labrador in tune with the music while you bathe in the glow of a job well done.

Have you any treasured records from the LP era, or before, that are showing their age now and that you wish would be transferred to CD?
This topic comes to mind because I have two copies of an LP record in which Karl Munchinger conducts the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra in works by Suk, Wolf and Strauss, both of which have small , but annoying imperfections in them. The recording of the Suk Serenade is a most lovely performance of a most lovely piece, and if there is a better recording available I haven't discovered it. I'd love to have the Munchinger performances in cd form but I've been unable to discover if it was ever re-issued as such.
