    PJ - I wish to offer some hints for researching the personal jewels of the British royal family.

    The books of Field and Menkes and Young, and the mega Munn of course are excellent sources for identifying piles and piles of jewels.

    However, for the facts, I suggest you work your way through the online exhibitions of the Royal Collection. Many of those have loads of the personal jewels of the Queen.

    Edit: you can't go just by the title of the exhibition. You need to check out most of htem.

    Then also work through three or four categories of the e-gallery, such as Gems & Jewels, Insignia, Indian Jewellery and Fabergé

    It really is good fun to do digging like that. Well I have enjoyed it anyway.
