The earrings are part of a pink topaz parure of the Savoy family. Princess Clotilde wore the pink topaz tiara and these same earrings on her wedding day. Her mother-in-law, Princess Marina, wore the the pink topaz tiara, along with a matching choker, at the pre-wedding gala of the wedding of Prince Frederick and Princess Mary of Denmark. I've just remembered that the Duchess of Cornwall also has a demi-set of pink topaz, I believe it was a gift from her husband, consisting of a big oval brooch (she wears it as a center to a pearl choker) and a pair of earrings. Pink topaz is a very beautiful stone, used in jewelry for centuries, and all the sets now worn by royal ladies are trully impressive. The Savoy parure It seems to me as it's from th 19th century (I have no oficial source on this). The swedish set I think belonged to the grandmother of Queen Viktoria (née Baden), the Empress of Prussia. --Previous Message-- : :
