The late Queen Mother used to wear a most lovely diamond & pearl necklace which belonged to Queen Alexandra, I believe. If matched with the Vladimir tiara with pearls and one of the various pearl & diamond broochs of QEII, we certainly can have a beautiful group of jewels. Not a parure but all very well-matched! --Previous Message-- : Exactly jinja. Delightful and stunning and : well-matched collections, but not : necessarily parures. You can call them that : now, if you like, but they werent sold that : way. But, bravo Nellie because I completely : forgot about the Kent sapphire parure! Or, : whatever is left of it. That's what I would : consider a real parure, everything designed : together and all fits in a beautiful box. : :-) : : --Previous Message-- : Some of that has been sold, but is it : supposed : to be a currently intact parure? What about : the turquoise set that Princess Margaret : wore? And QEII's aquamarines, of course. : They are definitely a parure. I would : perhaps call her Cambridge emeralds a parure : also, when she wears the circles tiara with : them. She also has ruby and sapphire tiaras : made to match necklaces she already owned, : and there are bracelets and brooches that go : with these, but they are definitely : collections rather than parures designed and : made together. : : :
