Yes, that was my thinking also. The Shah and Empress of Iran in their coronation finery and the way they looked on reminds me of any Ancient Egyptian pharaoh and his Queen. Looking at them made me thinking that Ancient Egypt or Persia once had kings and queens in their fancy royal clothes and elaborate ceremonies. I bet Pharaoh Ramses II would certainly have something like that for himself and his chief Queen because he was too arrogant to want all that finery.
I wonder if the coronation chairs (including the little one for the heir) and the room itself (glittering walls and all) are still perserved today or being totally destroyed by the current Iranian government anytime between 1979 and now. I think Iran still perserve the Shah's crown and that of his empress. But what about the coronation robes worn by them?
