    The coronation was not very expensive (the jewels were made with stones from the National Treasury) and the Persepolis celebrations were an unique opportunity to show the Iranian history to the world and to improve the diplomatic relations of Iran with the most important countries of the world (representatives from the West and East arrived to Shiraz to pay their repects to the Iranian emperor.

    The Pahlavi dynasty is true that is not very ancient, but the first Pahlavi shah was Reza Khan, a military appointed by the Majlis (Iranian parliament) shah of Persia in 1925.

    The oil crisis of 1973 was the principal cause of the downfall of the Pahlavi dynasty because of the fact that it generated a very high rate of inflation and, consequently, the empoverishment of the Iranian population.
