--Previous Message-- : This is another picture, sorry for the bad : quality but at least you can see all the : stars... : : --Previous Message-- : This is the one I have. I know there's a : picture where you ca also see the backside : of the shoulder strap with the other stars. : : --Previous Message-- : I doubt it. You have to count the points of : the stars (you will notice the difference) : and older photographs tend to be less sharp : and the angle of photographs can enhance or : educe size considerably. : I have never seen six stars in one set. Only : two sets of 5 stars, thus Queen Juliana with : ten stars. If there was a set of six we : would have seen it worn as such don't you : think? The set of three remains a mystery. : : : : --Previous Message-- : This is all extremely confusing. If you take : a : good look at pictures of Queen Wilhelmina : with the Begeer tiara with stars it seems : that those are NOT the stars of Maxima's : wedding tiara but those from Queen Emma's : Van Kempen tiara. Those on Maxima's tiara : are larger and more flat. The star brooch on : Maxima's sash in Trondheim and Copenhagen is : even larger - and now there seem to be three : of them! Could it be that the six : "large" star brooches given by the : Prince of Wied to Queen Emma in 1879 were : never mounted on the Begeer tiara but only : on Maxima's wedding tiara? Brus mentions : that the six Wied stars originally were : mounted on a simple frame for the stars : only. I have never seen pictures of this : tiara. : Queen Juliana wore 10 diamond stars on her : dress on the second day of Queen Elizabeth's : state visit to the Netherlands in March : 1958. I wonder of HQ pics of these would : help. : : : : : : : : : : : :
