I think we are discussing too many things in one topic...
First..lets compare those brooches that Sal suggests that it might be the same as seen on Queen Wilhelmina...oh and I strongly support Sal's suggestions because too many elements are similar in both pieces...
I have played around with some closeups and even made Laurentine's brooch little blurry to show that the central diamonds if photographed with the flash, will photograph as one solid stone vs. multiple stones in one setting.
--Previous Message-- : I am quite sure: if you look at the brooch of : Laurentien there is a 'square' diamond in : the center consisting of small diamonds. The : picture of Wilhelmina is about 75 years old : so it's not that strange you can't see the : details of the stars. The shape of the : brooch and the filegrain work is convincing : enough for me! : : --Previous Message-- : Not too sure about the 'star' brooch on her : waist, Henri! : : : --Previous Message-- : Fantastic picture with zoom function! : : I see: : - Queen Emma's floral diadem with 5 : ten-pointed stars : - the triangular motif diamond collier : - a ten-pointed star which holds the sash : (shoulder) : - the large corsage style néo-grêque with : three large diamond pendants : - an unclear star broche at the waistband : - a diamond bracelet left : - a diamond bracelet with a miniature right : : : : : :
