Thank you Boris, first time I see this picture.

A very delicate and suitable small tiara Christine de Lannoy is wearing. If it's a de Lannoy piece "available" for her to wear, it would look lovely on the bride's delicate features.
Sure hope she wears some family heirlooms, and yes the "Sophie of Prussia two tiaras at wedding day" would be superb, but I don't know if it would be the case... perhaps she prefers something more modest because of the recent death of her mother, she seems like a very down to earth young lady. Besides there were criticisms as to the cost of the wedding, although it was anounced that GD Henri would pay for most of it, perhaps a display of "too much glitter" at this time of economic crisis in several european countries would arise criticism...

In the neighbour Belgium and Netherlands the pre weddings of the heirs were not tiara events, I am guessing it will happen the same with Ps Guillaume's prewedding.

: As I mentioned above, it would be a very nice
: idea for Stéphanie de Lannoy to ‘do a Sophie
: of Prussia’, meaning to wear a Lannoy tiara
: AND a Luxembourg tiara for the pre-wedding
: gala and the wedding, respectively – IF
: tiaras are worn at the gala on the night
    : before the wedding.
: I too find it hard to imagine that the
: Lannoys do not have a tiara, but the only
: picture that seems to have surfaced so far
: with a possible candidate for a Lannoy tiara
: is this one, from the wedding of Stéphanie’s
: first cousin Christine de Lannoy to Count
: Bruno of Limburg Stirum, son of Princess
    : Hélène d'Orléans.
: Perhaps someone else has found out more
    : about the Lannoy jewels?
: No idea if this is actually a Lannoy family
    : heirloom:

: I prefer the belgian diamond scroll tiara.
: It's a lovely piece, not too grand nor too
: small, with a beautiful design. Also, along
: with the flower tiara, is in my opinion the
: one that suits Grand Duchess Maria Teresa
    : the best.
    :
: But I wish the Lannoy family had some nice
: piece that the bride could wear. The family
: has a very confortable economic situation as
: far as I know, they have properties, a large
: chateau, I would expect them to have some
: nice jewelry from previous generations in
: the vaults. Perhaps a tiara, or a necklace
: that could be put on frame, even some nice
: diamond earrings from the late Countess
: (apart from her mother's ring she already
: told she would wear)... It would be lovely
: that the bride could wear some jewels from
    : her family.

: In order to illustrate the subject better,
: here are the most likely ‘candidates’ for
: the bridal tiara from the Luxembourg
: collection – the Congo diamond
: tiara/necklace seen on all the Luxembourg
: brides since Joséphine Charlotte, which is
: IMHO not an ideal bridal tiara:
    :
    :
    :
: The diamond scroll tiara, worn by GD
: Joséphine Charlotte for her wedding photo
: session, which I agree might be a very
: appealing different option indeed both in
: terms of design and symbolism:
    :
    :
    :
: And perhaps a beautiful alternative, the
: larger of the two diamond flower tiaras:

: I meant the Scroll one, which I believe was
    : a
: gift, as was the "Congo" one. The
: Scroll one is lovely, and wasn't worn for so
: many weddings so it could really be
: "hers". I know there is a family
: jewel pool, but the HGD needs one to call
    : her own.
    :
: Besides, it's just kind of sitting around,
    : not being used . . .

: My bet is on the Belgium tiara given to
    : Josephine-Charlotte as a wedding gift - what
: better way to welcome another Belgian lady
    : as future grand duchess?
