Completely agree with you Boris!
Although the colour of the stones matches perfectly the ones of the George VI saphire set, the style and design of the necklace/tiara clashes completely with it... not my favourite of HM's tiaras.
I believe HM's idea was to form a parure by adding a tiara to her fabulous saphire set, but when I look at these pieces I see diferent styles saphire jewels worn together...Not the best of choices of a necklace to be turned into a tiara, in my opinion of course...
A completely opposite example are the Nassau pearls from Denmark... although not made as a parure initially, they do match perfectly in their style, looking just perfect.
