Regarding the history of Princess Louise and her debt it is questionable if the case was still existing at all when it was sold. If so I guess it is still in the closets of HM. Ursula cites the diary of PLouise. The princess mentioned a visit at a jeweller Hartog while she was at Cote d´Azur, where she brought a sapphire necklace, very expensive she hoped, to annoying her husband. --Previous Message-- : Sad that we can’t see Princess Louise of : Belgium necklace box to know which jeweler : did King Leopold II ’s daughter jewels. : Transformed in a tiara its box disappeared : for ever. : : --Previous Message-- : Oddly, not what I expected to hold HM's : jewels.....i had thought they were all kept : in their original velvet cases.....maybe : Queen Mary's dresser would remove them from : their cases and place them in this frilly : box to present them when she was ready to : put them on.....i would give ANYTHING to : spend even 30 minutes in HM's jewel vault! : : --Previous Message-- : From dressmaker Angela Kelly’s upcoming book : ‘Dressing The Queen’: : Sapphires in a box… according to the : picture’s caption, one of “Queen Mary’s : trays”. : Link: : : : : http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/the-queens-wardrobe-wonders-revealed-the-secrets-1417508 : : : : : : : :
