It's curious because the Dutch RF didn't make a great varieaty of alliances with the grand dynasties of the Continent, with the exception of Prussia, Russia, the UK and Sweden, but the marriage of Queen Wilhelmina with Duke Heinrich of Mecklenburg links Queen Beatrix to the Count of Paris, the Duchess of Württemberg, the Duchess of Calabria and the future Duke of Aosta, f.eg. The last King of Portugal was also a relative, as a Mecklenburg descendant.
The marriage of Princess Louise with King Carl XV of Sweden also makes the Danish and Greek Queens Orange descendants, as well as the Belgian, Luxembourgian and Norwergian Sovereigns, not to mention members of the Houses of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, Schaumburg-Lippe and Castell-Castell.
The marriage of Queen Juliana to Prince Bernhard of Lippe-Biesterfeld also makes Queen Beatrix a direct relative to Archduke Karl of Austria.
Interesting things that those 'non-equal' alliances won't improve.
