Thank you all for your thoughts. The diamond pendants as well as the two large diamonds in the aigrette are indeed - at least for me - the most impressive parts. Nevertheless I agree that the tiara together with the aigrette is unwearable today. But why not divide it in three parts? Part 1: tiara on a frame - it might suit the Duchess of Cornwalls (hair)style and appearance (although it seems to be rather large). Part 2: aigrette alone without feather and diamond pendants - as hair decoration for the younger female family members.
