Sorry, from my point of view this is an extraordinary beautiful jewel - indeed, taste differ. Personally I like geometric designs very much. It´s definitely regal. Thank you, Veronika, for the good picture. The small diamond dangeling must create a sparkling effect. At first I was surprised to read it was dated in the second part of the 19th century because I always thought it was an creation of the 1930th or so. It is timeless. But there are several greek pattern tiaras in the late 19th century: - Empress Eugenie´s greek Pattern tiara - Princess Beatrice of Great Britain - Romanian Tiara, of russian origins and I´m certain there are more. If it is from the 19th century than there must be a frame. I would quit the aigrette and use it another way. Absolutely wearable today for a modern woman fond of classical style. In a few years the Duchess of Cambridge could look stunning with it. --Previous Message-- : If I had it, I would use all those diamonds to : make a beautiful tiara. Well, in this : country a beautiful necklace and bracelets : and brooch. The two large diamonds hanging : from the plume would become splendid : earrings. Heresy, you say? The Queen : Mother must not have liked it much, as she : doesn't seem to have worn this tiara. Tastes : differ! :
