Thanks for that picture. It has set me hunting again. Press articles say the tiaras in the exhibition in 1911 were to be worn at the coronation but one lady or more might have changed her mind come the day! Edit: ...if she was spoilt for choice - which many were ! --Previous Message-- : : Nellie-yes I did mean the tiara that is : third in your post. I would say this has to : be the tiara in the cigarette card you : discovered. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/9b/The_Coronation_Ceremony_of_His_Most_Gracious_Majesty_King_George_V_in_Westminster_Abbey._22nd_June_1911_by_John_Henry_Frederick_Bacon.jpg : : I have found a painting of the coronation of : King George V and Queen Mary, please see the : link.I think it may have been done from the : photograph I linked earlier. : If we could find a colour/clearer/larger : image of this we may be able to establish : which tiara Princess Christian is wearing. : The artists details are within the link. The : tiara does appear to have some upright : "spikes" from the black and White : image. Princess Christian is third from : right in the royal box behind Queen Mary
