At first I was disappointed they did not re-use the fantastic passarelle from 2002 (see picture), so modern and tasteful. The whole venue, palace, church, the blue passerelle and the blue canopies at the backside of the palace and the entrances of the Church, the setting of the farewell banquet in the Rijksmuseum, the MANY jewels, wow wow wow... I simply knew after the 2002 Wedding, the 2005 Jubilee, the Funerals in 2002 and 2004 that the Dutch Court was able to do this. Now let us hope, now the 'ban' has been broken, that the King will celebrate his 50th birthday (2017) à la Denmark, Sweden, Norway... The Princess of Orange will then be 14 years old, maybe too young for a diadem, but I feel we can look forward for a grand birthday at Het Loo, now with diadems.
