I agree Henri. A trend has been set. Very stylish, even contrained lavishness
This Court will not hold back to use all it has at its disposal to impress its guests. After all we are a monarchy. People expect to be dazzled. They want to see bejewelled ladies, uniforms, carriages, te works! They will get it! By George!
I am confident the teepee at the back of Noordeinde will be taken down very soon now!

: At first I was disappointed they did not
    : re-use the fantastic passarelle from 2002
: (see picture), so modern and tasteful.
    :
: The whole venue, palace, church, the blue
: passerelle and the blue canopies at the
: backside of the palace and the entrances of
: the Church, the setting of the farewell
: banquet in the Rijksmuseum, the MANY jewels,
: wow wow wow... I simply knew after the 2002
: Wedding, the 2005 Jubilee, the Funerals in
: 2002 and 2004 that the Dutch Court was able
    : to do this.
    :
: Now let us hope, now the 'ban' has been
: broken, that the King will celebrate his
    : 50th birthday (2017) à la Denmark, Sweden,
    : Norway...
    :
: The Princess of Orange will then be 14 years
: old, maybe too young for a diadem, but I
: feel we can look forward for a grand
: birthday at Het Loo, now with diadems.
