I am typing this with a tablet, I hope I can add pics. The gentlemen are easily overlooked but The King wore sapphire buttons and cufflinks during the black tie events.
An example for the amazing eye for detail: in the Moses Chamber, HRH The Prince of Orange wore the baton (miniature insigne) Grand Cross in the Order of the Netherlands Lion. On the balcony, the same person, now HM The King, wore the baton Grand Cross Military Order of Willem. This means that already a little cassette was present in an antichambre and that the King's valet removes the blue baton and replaced it by the orange one. That someone thinks about such a very little detail between the signing of the Act of Abdication inside and the balcony appearance following this... unbelievable.
I am on tablet, no idea how to post pics without mouse or keyboard, I saw a clear pic with thr King's beautiful sapphire buttons and cufflinks in the low sunlight. I hope the King will also wear old and beautiful golden and silver horloges from the collection, you know, with a golden chain from a pocket in the gilet, when a jacquet or white tie is worn.
