I don't object to the sheer lining in CP Mary's dress from the night before at all, as it was a different kind of occasion with a royal lady in a different role (besides being one of the most beautiful gowns seen during the inthronisation days, IMHO). To me, Queen Maxima's inthronisation dress lacked the ceremonial aspect in many ways. Basically, it's a party dress and resembled designs seen previously on runways and on actresses so much that it can be considered a veritable rip-off by Taminiau. But I'm aware that the look was generally perceived as a success by most people.
