    Come on John, first you predicted a disaster and all would become so plebs. Then the three days unexpectedly turns out very festive, glamorous even, colourful and in a perfect mood. All venues (Rijksmuseum, Royal Palace, Dam Square, the Nieuwe Kerk, the King's Pageant) looked wonderful, the ceremonial was beautifully executed and much better than in 1980. Examples: the passerelle looked so much better, the Master of the Ceremonies with his stick announcing the King while standing before the dais, the thrones and the chairs for the princesses, the impressive Herald King-of-Arms in his great uniform, the decorations, the canopies and the long carpet at the backside of the palace, lined by guards, all looked so incredibly better than in 1980 (I saw images of 1980 with the old Quen crossing the street at the backside without any carpet and in between the television trucks....). Come on John, all was so much better, even jewelrywise.
