It is the obscuring or absence of jewels, John, that is being commented on. My point was that the jewelry (earrings) don't show to good advantage because of the coiffure. Oliviamar's point was that she would prefer to see more historic jewels giving glitter and presence to the Duchess, rather than a showbiz type allover sequined dress and shoes. --Previous Message-- : Before we drift off too far may I steer you : back to the lovely diamond earrings and the : bracelet. Anything known on these pieces? : : : --Previous Message-- : : Well I was thinking or meaning in another : dress; the dress in itself is very nice, but : for a kind of another lady or context, like : a rock star...........sorry..... : --Previous Message-- : Agreed that major jewelry would be too much : with this particular dress--which is : spectacular--but I think what makes the look : unbalanced or "off" is the heavy : curtain of hair hanging over the Duchess' : face and a good part of the bodice of the : dress. If the hair were pulled back or up : in some fashion, the design of the gown : would truly shine. : : --Previous Message-- : I ve been seeing Duchess of Cambridge pic of : last night gala....., Im the only one that : is feeling that is time for assume a : real/royal glitter, not just the same ring : and bracelet???? something is not working : for my taste...even more, considering that : she should have quite a jewels case, of her : own and from her mother in law late princess : Diana...just a thought.... : : : : : : :
