I don't know how much money her parents left Victoria. She called her brother George every day and they were close so i think if money was tight he would have helped. Im guessing she decided to sell the tiara and used the money as part of her charitywork or left it to George's fourth son George, Duke of Kent. She left him and Marina her estate Coppins as well.
--Previous Message-- : : : --Previous Message-- : I don't understand it either. Unless : Alexandra : gave it to her second daughter as she did : not receive any weddinggifts and was : allready a mature lady. On the other hand we : have no images of princess Victoria wearing : (parts of) it so maybe the information is : incorrect?? : : --Previous Message-- : Not only that regarding Alexandra's : intestate : state, but: : : Ursula has on her website: : : "The tiara was bequeathed by Queen : Alexandra to her second daughter, Princess : Victoria, and subsequently disposed of by : her (QAJ c.1920, pl. I, note added by Queen : Mary). " : : If Queen Alexandra died in 1925, how did : Victoria receive it in 1920? Hmmm.... : : Odds fish, wot? : : : : Was this the daughter who never married? If : she sold it she probably had no sentiment : attached to her mother's tiara. Or needed : the money :
