    Must confess that I did not look at Roberts for the fringe.
    A significant date in August is the 4th - the birthday of Elizabeth.
    So perhaps Queen Mary gave a personal gift with the coming crisis, and its possible outcome in mind - and to put her personal tiara out of the reach of someone else!
