I just read ona website dedicated to Camilla, that the ring did belong to the Queen Mothers. At the time of the engagement a courtier stated that it was a precious windsor heirloom. Of course it's was not her engagement ring, but just one of her many rings. The website suggested that it might have been part of the Greville estate. As I said earlier, I'm new to this so I don't know how accurate the info might be. --Previous Message-- : I think it was indeed the Queen Mother's : engagement ring, but she stopped wearing it : at some point. With her wedding ring she : wore a pearl surrounded by diamonds in the : last couple of decades of her life (or : longer). She might indeed have given it to : Charles outside of and before the estate : transfer at her death. :
