Nellie is correct in that this brooch is (partly) made up of nautical alphabet flags. The second flag is an "S"; the third flag is a "C" and the fourth flag is an "F" Yep...you might have guessed it.... The first flag is a rendering of the Save the Children Fund logo - one of the Princess Royals most beloved charities. It is very subtle but very clever. Cheers!
