    Well PJ, I am not surprised.
    Queen Mary seems to be a never-ending font of jewels and her motto seemed to be - If you've got it....flaunt it.
    Therefore, it makes sense that she would use a "real" brooch rather than some haberdashery trinket.

    Sorry I cannot help with this particular brooch, but if I see it in my travels, I will let you know.
