Thank you so much Mauriz. What a fascinating custom. A description of the Museum you mentioned is in one of the Australian papers which stated that furniture, jewellery and items such as the wedding gown and shoes of the Empress Frederick were on display. In several reports of the wedding of Princess Victoria Louise it is stated that she wore a diamond crown worn by all Hohenzollern princesses. The only photograph I have been able to find is in http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/128725843/14423201?searchTerm=Kaiser%20wedding%20presents#pstart14423201 Unfortunately, the image has not reproduced clearly. There is a sketch on the front page of The London Illustrated News 12 August 1913 showing this small crown. Does anyone have additional information on this?
