Thanks Arthur for the great summary and additional pictures. I never thought about the Norfolk cross as being made from aquamarines. No doubt they could be. I guess they lack the greenish tinge that I expect in aquamarines. Maybe they appear bluer up against HM coat. I simply have it listed as 'Blue Gemstone Cross' in my "inventory". I think that from Baxter's pictures of the Rochester brooch (thanks Baxter!) that the drop looks to be an aquamarine as well. Also, I thing that the badge HM is wearing in Rochester may be from the Queen's Own West Kent Yeomanry. Here is a cap badge picture for comparison. Cheers! Bryce --Previous Message-- : Oh my God!!!
