I agree these rubies look very good on Crown Princess Mary's dark hair and undisputable elegance.
But I admit, anyway, that I can not prevent myself from feeling a shiver in my spine when I see such an old and historical parure being so much transformed. My concern is not about the tiara/hairpins (I know that the tiara is made of several separate elements - former corsage brooches - mounted on a tiara frame, so there is no problem changing the assortment of the elements), but about the necklace and the girandole earrings: do we know if these jewels can easily revert back to their original, "historical" shape?
