It is difficult to tell, as the earrings are usually hidden behind Camilla's big puffing hairdo: we can usually see only the pearl bottom of the earrings. We have to wait for a gush of wind to give us a good view of the earrings!

I do not know of which stones the earrings are made. As Camilla is not renowned for wearing fake or costume jewellery, I suspect that they could be pearl and diamonds. As the two pearls are quite large, I guess they are probably cultured pearls. The "diamond" clusters at the top lack glitter; it could be because of the daylight, or because of the cut of the diamonds. Barbara D' suggestion that they might be polished silver could be an option too (but I do not think they are moonstones or pearls, they would look really differently).

Camilla has worn these earrings since the early years of her marriage to the Prince of Wales (she wore them, for instance, at her daughter Laura's wedding in May 2006), but I do not know if she owned them prior to her own wedding in 2005. And of course, I do not know the origin of these earrings (family heirloom? personal purchase? gift from Andrew Parker-Bowles? gift from Charles? gift from the Queen? official gift?...).

These earrings are definitely her firm favourite, but we can note that Camilla owns several other pairs of pearl and diamond earrings:

    - a pair of small pearl earrings, hanging from a diamond "bar" pinned on the earlobe:

    - a pair of baroque drop pearls hanging from a diamond chain:

    : My guess is either
    :
: - polished silver beads in different sizes
    : - moonstones or
: - small pearls (which would fit the pendant

: I don't think there are diamonds around the
: central element, for me it looks more like
    : small polished silver beads.

: The third photo in Arthur's post gives the
: best view of the Duchess of Cornwall's
    : earrings I have seen.
: Does anyone know what gems are used in the
    : upper section?
: I fancy I can see a row of small diamonds
: around the central element, but I am at a
: loss to even guess at the other
    : gems/elements.
