Thank you, Kasper and Mrs Diamond, for your kind words. I am glad that you enjoy my posts, and I am happy to share my knowledge with the other posters and readers of this board (and to be honest, I have learnt a lot on this board too, so I am happy to give a bit of reciprocity! ). I do not have an "archive for everything", but I have saved a lot of pictures along the years - on this board, of course, and also on other forums (Foro Dinastias is a very good one, for instance) and on press agencies' websites (Getty, Zimbio, Royalista...) or on newspapers websites. I also regularly follow the jewel auctions at Christie's and Sotheby's (and less regularly, at other auction houses, like Bonham's, Drouot...). The negative point is that I have not always noted who posted these pictures initially, so it may happen that I post pictures that I saved months or years ago, without giving due credit to the original poster. I also have in my personal library several interesting jewel-related books, that I frequently quote. Regarding the French Crown Jewels' currant-leaf parure, all the information that I have quoted comes from Bernard Morel's book les Joyaux de la Couronne de France (France's Crown Jewels). An absolute "must have" if you are interested in French royal and imperial jewels! --Previous Message-- : : Dear Arthur : : Your knowledge, language, writing etc. I'm : amazed.
