Well spotted, Mauriz! Yet, I still think that it is the same brooch. I guess that the pampilles are detachable, and that the two pampilles on the right and on the left could have been swapped at some time. This way, the two lateral pampilles reach the same level, at the bottom, while in the original setting, the seven-diamond pampille on the right hung lower than the six-diamond pampille on the left. Besides that, I think that all details can be identified on both pictures: - the oversized first diamond of the central pampille (compared to the other diamonds of this central pampille) - the square "cushion" shape of the second diamond of the central pampille - the square "cushion" shape of the first diamond of the seven-diamond pampille. Of course, we would need to see all the brooches of the parure to be able to compare! --Previous Message-- : : Thanks from me as well for another great : post, Arthur! : : - the garland, divided into several brooches : (I think that the brooch which is to be : auctioned in November is the one on the top : right of the picture): : : I'm not sure about that. The number of : diamonds in the "pampilles" : doesn't match - or better the lines seem to : be reversed: there are seven diamonds on the : right and six on the left side, while the : brooch to be auctioned has seven diamonds on : the left and six on the right side. : : : : :
