Does anyone have information about Queen Mary's 2 sets of emerald earrings? Archived Message

I am intrigued by two photos in The Queen's Diamonds by Roberts.

The caption accompanying a photo on page 176 states that it depicts Queen Mary wearing her emerald parure in 1911.

Another photo in Roberts on page 170 also states she is depicted wearing the parure in 1911.

The earrings in the photo on page 170 are much larger than those in the photo on page 176.

It is clear that these two photos are not of the same event, as HM's dress is different and, in the photo on page 170, HM is also wearing the second emerald necklace, as it was before she shortened it to a choker. I suspect that the photo on page 170 is from the Delhi Durbar.

Neither Field's description and photos (pages 89 and 91 of 1987 ed), nor Roberts' mention two sets of earrings - unless I am mistaken.

    My queries are --

First-- Is there any information to give us any clues about the provenance of the two sets of earrings. Both appear to have cabochon emeralds. Could they both come from the Cambridge emeralds?

Secondly -- are the emeralds in the earrings, normally worn by QEII with the Durbar necklace, cabochons or are they faceted?
