Hello Beth1, personally, I tend to think that the earrings on both pictures are the same. Here is a link to the Royal Collection's website about these Cambridge/Delhi Durbar emerald earrings: http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/microsites/dressfortheoccasion/object.asp?exhibs=BPSO2006jewellery&item=25 Both emeralds are cabochon stones. One of them comes from the Cambridge emerald set inherited by Queen Mary, the other one was supplied by Garrard to match the other stone. On the picture published page 170 of Roberts' book, the twelve diamond brilliants surrounding the emerald are clearly visible. It is less obvious on the picture page 176, but it could be because of the angle of the picture.
