    Dear Arthur,

    Thank you for your kind photo of this emerald brooch ! It is the best photo I have seen of the brooch.

    I don't understand why Queen Elizabeth II has not worn these emerald brooches from her Mother.

    She has on least 4 emerald and diamonds brooches from Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother that are lying in the vault :

    1° - the second emerald and diamond brooche from Miss Greville (Might worn by the Doc);
    2° - The (25’s anniversary wedding gift) emerald and diamond brooch from her husband ;
    3° - The emerald and diamond arrow brooch as a wedding gift in 1923 :
    4° - The 3 emerald, diamond and gold brooch (your post)

    Best regards,

    Franck

    : Hello Joye,
    :
    : it's very interesting, I had never seen this

    : I can not be 100% sure, but my feeling is
    : that the emerald brooch worn by the Queen
    : Mother is not one of Queen Mary's wedding
    : gifts. Reason for this impression is that
    : the style of the brooch looks too modern to
    : be a gift from the late 19th century. But
    : this is only my personal visual impression.

    : this brooch worn by Princess Marina, Duchess
