--Previous Message-- [snip] : The same tiara worn by Princess : Caroline-Mathilde of Denmark (mother of : Count Ingolf, Princess Elisabeth and Count : Christian). The shape of the central : "prong" looks different than in : the version worn by Countess Anne-Dorte: Yes, I think the tiara was altered. Princess Caroline-Mathilde has the central "prong" set between two sapphire clusters, whereas it sits above the bottom tier in the current setting. Somewhat strange that the diamond circle elements in that bottom tier are not mirrored, i.e. the little curl inside the elements sits always on the left side, regardless the position to the left or right of the central element. In a tiara I would expect the design left and right mirror-inverted. Maybe this row of sapphire clusters and diamond circles (which remind me of the diamond circle necklace once belonging to the Kents) devided into two barcelets or formed a choker? : I have also read (but I do not remember : where) that, on the following picture, : Princess Caroline-Mathilde is wearing the : sapphire and diamond clusters of the tiara : mounted as separate elements on her necklace [snip] It certainly looks like it! And a very successful setting on what appears to be knife-edged bars!
