    Franck,

Yes, I also see a match ! It would be an other discover !

Like a "cross". We can see the same detail and the same oval stone !

: What an interesting observation, Brock. Thank
    : you.
    :
: I can understand why Brock has made the
: connection with the Malta brooch of QEII.
: Unfortunately, my eye is not good enough to
: determine what brooch Queen Mary is wearing
: pinned to the centre of her bodice.
    :
: One thing I have noticed in reading
: descriptions of Queen Mary's gowns is that
: she often wore emeralds with pale blue
: dresses, so I would not dismiss the
: suggestion of different coloured jewels
: being worn at one time, although normally HM
    : wore matching jewels.
    :
: Of course, it is an assumption on my part
: that, because the brooch at Queen Mary's
: throat has the shape of shamrock leaves, it
: contains emeralds. It may not.
    :
: Now that we have other possibilities to
: consider, others may have further insights.
    :
    : PS I didn't find any description of HM's
: dress - colour etc or her jewels for this
: occasion in any of the newspapers I have
    : access to.

: I don't have any insight on the upper
    : brooch,
: but my eye was drawn to the partially
    : obscured brooch below that.
    :
: It looks to me like a possible match to the
: mysterious aquamarine brooch worn by HM to
: open CHOGM 2015 in Malta:

: The following photo, taken in Preston on 8
: July 1913 during King George's and Queen
: Mary's tour of Lancashire, has me intrigued.
    :
: I wonder if the brooch at HM's throat could
: be the 4 leaf clover brooch given to Queen
: Mary by Sir Frederick and Lady Milner as a
    : wedding gift.
    :
: Here is a link to a previous discussion on
: this question - within this thread there are
: links to earlier threads, so I will not list
    : them all individually.

: Unfortunately, the Court circular in the
: Times does not give a description of HM's
: jewels for this occasion. Nor have I found
: one in the provincial press (to which I have
: access) for this particular day of the tour.
