    Thank you, Carlo, for spotting this similarity.

    If the stone central stone of the brooch is indeed a turquoise of a sapphire, I wonder, though, if it would look so dark on the black and white picture. Blue shades often look pale on B&W pictures.

    I also notice that Queen Frederika is wearing her ruby and diamond pendant, suspended from her pearl necklace (inherited by Queen Sofia, and very often worn by her - on the picture below, on 19th June 2014 in Madrid, for King Philip VI's enthronement ceremony in the Spanish Parliament). It would be strange to mix a ruby pendant and a sapphire/turquoise brooch (though there are a few examples of such combinations with Queen Frederika).



    Anyway, thank you very much for drawing our attention to this rarely seen brooch!
