Thank you Carlo for bringing this brooch to discussion here. I believe Queen Frederika is a favourite of yours? Frederika and her daughter Sofia are firm favourites of mine too.
This is a rarely seen one, of many pieces of jewelry Queen Sofia has and sadly chooses not wear since a long time ago.
The brooch seen on Queen Frederika is also my option for a possible match. From the pics its a bit hard to tell since they are not very clear. We would need better, bigger photos of both queens wearing this brooch.

Here some more pic of this brooch, on a visit to Tunez in 1983 and the welcoming ceremony of the visit to Spain from QEII in 1988. Still not the clearest of pics. Sources: Getty images and my archives.

In more recent years Queen Sofia seems to favour mostly modern, sometimes ethnical pieces. But she owns several pieces inherited/given from/by Queen Frederika she rarely has worn.
I am preparing a thread soon with some of those pieces of jewelry.

: During the State visit to Italy, in the early
: eighties, Queen Sofia wore a square brooch
: with a round or oval turquoise in the
: centre. Browsing through some older photos
: of the late Queen Frederica of Greece with
    : her grand-children, I spotted the same
    : brooch.
    : I apolgize for not showing a close-up, but I
: could not find other photos that I had seen
: in the past, where you have a better view of
: the brooch (I am sure that some of you will
: have better photos to share).
: It must be among the very few pieces of
: jewelry having belonged to her mother,
    : inherited by Queen Sofia.
