I totally agree. But I fear that those days will be over. Of course hopefully the Reigning generation will live on to celebrate their 80th and 90th birthdays in much the same style as before. But I 'worry' about the next generation. For instance I doubt that the 18th birthday of Princess Ingrid Alexandra will be celebrated with two tiara events. I do hope I'm wrong and maybe the generarion of Ingrid Alexandra will revive some of the glitter of old. Let us not forget that there will be great number of reigning Queens in the future. --Previous Message-- : I agree with you, Maria Olivia. The State : Visits, Nobels and bridal tiaras are very : nice, but the icing on the cake are the big : events when international royals attend in : great numbers and tiaras from a wide range : of countries are seen. And of these big : events we'll see fewer in the years to come. : : --Previous Message-- : For the Wedding Day of Princess Astrid's : Children, Queen Paola, Queen Mathilde, : Princesses Astrid and Claire will never wear : tiaras as in Sweden and Denmark. : It was the reason why I started this thread : after the Glittering Event of the King of : Sweden 70th Birthday and its great group : picture : : --Previous Message-- : And the younger Lux siblings, the younger : Belgians (Astrid's kids), and of course all : the German houses still seem to bring the : bling. I think we'll be okay! : : : : : : :
