Franck is correct. Roberts did not state that the Queen Mother remodelled the necklace given to her by Queen Mary. All that Roberts said is that the Queen Mother had a new diamond and sapphire sautoir made in 1929. I was incorrect. Nevertheless, I think it is feasible that the necklace was used for the sautior. The necklace had 30 sapphires in diamond cluster settings. The new sautoir had, as far as I can determine, the same number of sapphires.
