Dan, I totally agree about the smartphones. People seem to have forgotten how to enjoy the moment. Normally I'm so engrossed in the performance that I don't really notice the smartphone antics, but the one that gets me is when they start exchanging mails and messages with other people! And then don't bother watching the show anymore because they're too busy managing their mails. I haven't been to a concert since 2013 because of ill health, but I used to have to fly to other countries to see Santana and it involved an awful lot of expense and bother to get there. That meant I really wanted to enjoy the experience and not have to look at the stage through a myriad of tiny screens. What is wrong with these people? I am not an agressive person, but I shouted at a guy once in Silverstone in 2010 for talking on his phone (next to me in the front row) all the way through the show. Glad you enjoyed the show nevertheless.
